Frequently Asked Questions

  • SENDING CASH

  • Do I need to have an account?

Not for donations. You would only need an account if we need to have your email address in order to notify you regarding a membership or service

  • How do I send money to a YouTuber I follow?

First, see if they have a link to this site. If so, click to to make your payment. If they do not, just send the donation here.

  • Can I send cash anonymously?

Yes, if you are making a donation, it can be completely anonymous. For a digital product, service or membership, you will at least need to give us your email address so we can notify you when we receive your payment. If you are purchasing a physical product, being delivered to you, then we would need your name and address so we know where to send the product. NOTE: If you utilize our service to purchase a product on website that accepts SENDCASH2, then you could remain anonymous with us, because you would supply your address to the company that sells the product.

  • Where do I send my cash payment?

When you fill out the online payment form, you will be given the address where you need to send your payment.

  • Can I overpay/send extra cash for a future purchase?

Yes. We will enter the entire amount of the cash we receive into your account. There are no fees for adding funds to your account, but keep in mind that funds do not accrue interest, and since we are not a bank, they are not FDIC insured.

  • Is it legal to send cash in the mail?

Yes, it is legal. Feel free to read what Snopes has to say, or read what the United States Postal Service has to say. As you will see on that link and this one, USPS will one insure cash up to $15 unless you use registered mail, which will cost anywhere from $12 to $95, just for the insurance. To date, USPS has not lost even one cash payment. Please watch our video if you are not sure how to send cash in the mail.

  • I owe $19.95. Should I send 95 cents or round up?

DO NOT send change thru the USPS. Round up to the next nearest dollar.

  • Should I purchase insurance for the $30 I am sending?

Insuring cash for more than $15 is only available for registered mail. USPS registered mail starts at $12 and requires a trip to the post office and, most likely, waiting in line. It will also delay your delivery because we have to wait in line to pick it up, and if there is a line, we don't wait (we try again the next day). A stamp is 50 cents.

  • Can I pay my rent in cash?

That depends on how much your rent is. We currently have a $500 transaction limit. The reason is simple: we don't want you sending more than $500 at a time thru the mail. It's just too risky.

  • Why can't I write CashRox on the envelope?

Well, technically you can. We just feel that it is unwise to announce to everyone who sees or touches your envelope that there is cash inside. Instead, we suggest that you send your envelope to "Crox" which is simply and acronym for CashRox without the "ash".

  • Can I send cash using USPS Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, Registered Mail, or Certified Mail?

We do not recommend paying extra for any of these "services". If you choose to use one of these services, please do not order signature confirm, or be sure to "waive" signature confirmation for those services that include it as a default. If the person picking up the mail from the Post Office has to sign for a delivery, and there is a line at the counter, they will leave. This will delay the processing of your cash until they are able to pick up your delivery.

  • Can I send cash using UPS or FedEx?

No. UPS and FedEx will not deliver to a PO Box.
